For the second straight year, members of the Enoch Office Equipment family, including company President Joe Enoch and wife Candace Enoch, participated in the Baltimore Running Festival (5K) as part of Team Best Buddies Maryland. This exciting and fun charity event, which took place on Saturday, October 12, 2013, helped support the programs and services of Best Buddies Maryland, while at the same time raising fundamental awareness of its vital friendship, integrated employment, and leadership programs.
Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies is a vibrant, international organization that has grown from one original chapter to almost 1,500 middle school, high school, and college chapters worldwide, engaging participants in every state and in 50 countries around the world. Best Buddies Maryland directly serves more than 3,500 individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) each year, and through its programs reaches out to more than 35,000 people.
People with disabilities are often excluded from society because of their differences. Best Buddies was created to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with IDD.
Help make a difference.
