Thursday, September 24th, 2015
Pikesville BNI Networking

In 2014, BNI networking groups across the globe generated 6.6 million referrals resulting in $8.6 billion dollars’ worth of business.

Networking, when done right, can be a powerful business tool. And if you have ever visited this blog before, you know that President Joe Enoch and the entire Enoch team strongly believe in networking.  As Rick Donovan, Enoch’s two-time Sales Representative of the Year, once famously said, “It’s networking morning, noon, and night.”

Enoch is a third generation, locally owned family company that has served the city of Baltimore since 1961. As our industry has evolved, Enoch has been there every step of the way, from the typewriter of the 1960′s and 70′s to the fax of the 1980′s to the digital color output devices and document management systems of today! And we think networking has played a very large role in our success.

So what is all the fuss about? Well, why not find out for yourself!

Experience the Power of Networking Firsthand at the Pikesville BNI Visitors’ Day

With over 180,000 members worldwide, Business Network International (BNI) is the largest networking organization in the world. In 2014, BNI networking groups across the globe generated 6.6 million referrals resulting in $8.6 billion dollars’ worth of business. In 2012 alone, the Pikesville BNI networking group generated more than $1,500,000 in referrals between its 27 members.

“That’s a lot for just a little networking group,” said Rick.

So we invite you to come out Friday, September 25th from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM to see what makes this little networking group such a big success and one of the strongest chapters in all of BNI.

Reserve Your Spot

“We are always looking for members,” said Donovan. “We are a family caring and looking out for each other.”

Benefits of membership include not only exposure to local businesses and networking opportunities, but also tools to network more effectively and opportunities to participate in many networking meetings and more! So we encourage you to come out this Friday and see what the Pikesville BNI group is all about.

“This is a strong group,” added Rick.

Enoch Office Welcomes Matt Mugno and Tina Wambach to the Family

Tuesday, November 4th, 2014

Enoch OfficeSince 1961, Enoch Office has developed a reputation in the Baltimore business community for the highest level of customer service, support, and expertise. It is this dedication to our clients that has allowed us to not only survive, but thrive in a technology industry riddled with change: from the typewriter of the 1960′s and 70′s to the fax of the 1980′s to the digital color output devices and document management systems of today. Technology has and always will play a major role in what we do, but, at the end of the day, business is done by people. And we are extremely proud of the team we have assembled! This is why we are happy to welcome Matt Mugno and Tina Wambach to the Enoch family!

Matt Mugno

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Matt’s parents – Michael works in finance and Deborah runs a school for children with developmental disabilities – instilled a sense of hard-work in their children. Matt’s sisters, Beth and Allison, are both working towards P.H.D.’s in psychology and forensics, respectively. A childhood friend of our own Matt Enoch, Matt (Mugno) joins Enoch Office after previously managing the great Peppermill restaurant in Lutherville.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys sports of all shapes and size. He played soccer for Dulaney High School where he was also the Sports Editor for the school newspaper, he is a big fan of the World Cup, a huge Ravens and Orioles fan, and he was a season ticket holder for the University of Maryland’s men’s basketball team (despite graduating from N.C. State). Go Terps! Matt also enjoys a good restaurant, a good book (primarily autobiographies, a good documentary, and the occasional Huey Lewis concert.

Matt, welcome to the Enoch family!

Tina Wambach

Tina comes to Enoch Office after spending the past 10 years working with business equipment and technology. She also has a background in banking and prides herself on her strong customer service and retention skills.

Tina currently lives in Harford County with her three daughters: Katlyn, 18; Tori, 13; and Amber, 11. In her spare time, Tina enjoys soccer, tennis, and, of course, the Baltimore Ravens.

Tina, welcome to the Enoch family!

Enoch Office has Orange Fever and the Only Prescription is More Orioles!

Wednesday, September 17th, 2014

Orange Fever OriolesO-R-I-O-L-E-S…ORIOLES!

For the first time since 1997, the Baltimore Orioles are American League East Division Champions. Just let that soak in for a few moments. “Happy Days Are Here Again.” I don’t know about you, but everyone here at Enoch Office could not be more excited! You could say that we have all caught a case of Orange Fever and the only prescription is more Orioles!

Here is what a few of our employees had to say about the O’s recent success and what it means to them:

“To think that that I could possibly share a World Series championship, not only with my parents, but also with my wife and kids, makes this even more exciting (after all, I was only five-years-old the last time they won).  It’s a fun time to be in Baltimore, and I’m a believer!” – Brad

“It makes me excited about the “feeling” that the city gets when the team wins the biggest game.  Last time I felt it for the Orioles was back in 83 when I was 12 years old.” – Carla

Elation and excitement.” – Matt

“I think that the O’s had a fantastic year and we all should be proud to be the city that backs them up! Go Orioles!!!” – George

We even had a recent opportunity to attend an Orioles game as a company: the first game of the Blue Jays series. We had a great time and, best of all, the Orioles won, 5-2, making Tuesday’s division-clinching game possible. We aren’t saying that our presence at the game motivated the Orioles to play harder, but we also aren’t saying it wasn’t a factor.

Orange Fever Orioles

“Something magic happens, every time you go.

You make the magic happen, the magic of Orioles’ Baseball!”

We even had a little contest going around the office since early September to see who could predict the date when the Orioles would clinch the division. While no one guessed September 16th, we did have two people guess the 15th and six guess the 17th. Pretty close! The winner will be announced shortly. And what do they win? Two tickets to see the Orioles in the playoffs. Wow! It doesn’t get much better than that.

Go O’s!

What does the 4th of July mean to Enoch Office?

Thursday, July 3rd, 2014

4th of JulyWhat do you call tomorrow’s national holiday? The 4th of July? Independence Day (no, not the Will Smith movie)? We all have different names for our nation’s birthday, the day our forefathers put pen to paper and signed the Declaration of Independence, officially declaring our independence from Great Britain. The 4th of July also means different things to different people. Gearing up for tomorrow’s 4th of July festivities, we reached out to several Enoch employees and asked them one simple question; “What does the 4th of July mean to you?” As you can probably imagine, we received a wide range of answers, from the patriotic – “Very simple, FREEDOM!” – to the historical – “It’s remembering a part of history of which Marylanders sacrificed everything: the fight for freedom of all Americans.” – to the recreational – “It means a three day weekend where I can hang at my sister’s pool with family & friends.”

Perhaps one of the best responses we received: “To me, July 4th is about honoring our great nation.  It’s a time to celebrate and reflect, not only on where we’ve been, but also where we are and where we’re headed.”

What does 4th of July mean to you?

We want to know! Post your answers on our Facebook page. We would love to hear what you have to say.

4th of July Fun Facts

  1. The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson and signed by 56 men, representing 13 colonies, on July 4, 1776.
  2. In July 1776, the estimated United States’ population was 2.5 million. Today, the nation’s estimated population is roughly 316 million.
  3. The oldest, continuous Independence Day celebration in the United States is the 4th of July Parade in Bristol, Rhode Island; it began in 1785.
  4. According to TIME magazine, Americans consume about 155 million hotdogs on Independence Day alone.
  5. Both Thomas Jefferson and John Adams died on July 4, 1826. James Monroe died on July 4, 1831. Only one president – Calvin Coolidge – was born on Independence Day (1872).
  6. The bulk of U.S. fireworks are imported. How many? About 180.1 million pounds or $213.8 million worth.
  7. In 1870 Congress made Independence Day an official unpaid holiday; in 1938, it was changed to a paid federal holiday.
  8. The American Pyrotechnics Association (APA) estimates that more than 14,000 professional firework displays light up the skies in the United States each 4th of July.
